growth

Fri Oct 23, 2009, 4:41 PM
I feel like before, my photography was kinda just all over the place. I would take photos of anything and everything. Now I am noticing that I am now being more selective. Even though I don't have the time that I had last year being in high school and home schooled and all, I still go out and shoot. Which is a bit harder to find the time being in college and all. I feel like my focus is now photojournalism and I want to do more portraits which would require models.

i dont really get it...

Mon Sep 21, 2009, 4:17 PM
so i might get a bunch of shit for this, but im ready

on dA and it seems like everywhere else theres this huge trend in japanese culture. more specifically the manga and anime art/culture.
i dont see whats sooo amazing in it. maybe thats be but its this huuuuugee thing it seems like.
doesnt look mind blowing to me.
there are so many other thing(in my opinion) that are much more interesting. but why is this japanese thing exploding. there isnt much of the actual japanese history in it. seems silly to me how much people are into this.
maybe its like twilight or jonas brothers, where it really doesnt make sense why its exploded into the mainstream and is a marketing scam.

does anyone wanna help me out and explain whats behind this obsession?

perfection?

Wed Apr 22, 2009, 12:44 AM
i know there is not such a thing as perfection.
but i can still try to get as close as possible.
for photos that is, ive given up on trying to look perfect.

being a perfectionist is actually very bittersweet.
ive noticed that the more ive gotten into photography the more of the strive to make my work perfect.
and tonight ive already spent hours on this one set of photos, its 130am and im not even close to being done.

its times like this that makes me want to bash my head into the wall or desk. ill spare my computer. its been through enough today.

just tell me

Mon Feb 23, 2009, 11:12 AM
i want to know what people have to say about my work.

tell me you hate it.
tell me you love it.

tell me what i need to do.

i will take any of this into consideration.

if you stop by my page, and are actually read this. do me a favor?
say something about my work?

broken cameras, travel, and family

Mon Jan 5, 2009, 10:31 PM
lately things have changed. my camera broke. i sent it to canon 6 weeks ago, and they recently got back to me about the status; that they will send me a new one.

ive also recently bought a plane ticket to fly to moscow, russia for a few months. im excited and scared. its so much different than what i am used to. but sometimes change is good.

as i am getting ready to leave the country but brother and his wife and child are moving to live here. which is also change for everyone.

i guess the new year has brought change.

and im ready for it.
